boots and hoodies

Well, except for being sick (cough, cough, sneeze, sneeze), I am really happy that it is October! It is my favorite month of the year! I have already been enjoying cool evening walks with Raleigh, pumpkin flavored everything, and pulling out my boots and hoodies.

Last weekend, God ordered up some cold weather just for my friend Ann's wedding... felt like Colorado in Kansas, which is just the way she'd want it, and I sang some Cat Stevens in the prelude... it was perfect.

Beautiful bride, heartfelt wedding. As her sister said, "a real love story."

My favorite line was from the groom, when he informed the crowd that he married up!

Indeed sir, you are one lucky guy.

The next day I went apple picking with my Hankerdoodledoo.

They took family pictures and I lugged him around like a sack of potatoes.

It was another beautiful day.

Now I am just counting down the days to Maple Leaf next week!

Hope I am feeling better!

wherefore art thou?

We've been vacationing! We left on a Wednesday morning and drove across this beautiful country to North Carolina. We spent six days with John's family, and in the middle of that we attended his friend's wedding! Greg was a groomsman in our wedding as well, so it was nice to be included in their special day. Beautiful weather, a great wedding, and even some new friends!

Groomsmen gifts included these personalized bowties.John's initials are embroidered on the inside, and that is North Carolina embroidered on the outside. A cute southern groomsman, if you ask me!

Congrats to Greg and Harper!

Next time we vacation I will make sure there is more proof that I am ALSO on the vacation!

april showers bring may flowers

Just a little post about what I have been up to!

We inherited a piano!

I took the day off and babysat my favorite nephew.

Raleigh and Henry had fun together.

I volunteered at Operation Breakthrough.

I went to an awesome event to raise money for the
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce called Comida KC.
It was like being on an episode of Top Chef.

I got to meet Aaron Sanchez and eat his food!

It snowed on May 2nd. For realz.

Jenni turned 30. I currently have one week to go...

The triplets were taken big buck hunting...

We have been busy lately!

We had a great Easter holiday. Very exhausting for Hank.

grandma's green birthday

My grandmother's birthday was on St. Patrick's Day, so many of my cousins, uncles, and aunts met in Richmond for family, fellowship, and cake! Everyone is growing so fast, so it was a great day to catch up.
