Like Becky, I like food. When I saw her post a link to Kansas City's Top 100 Restaurants and challenge herself to visit the entire list, I too wanted to participate in the foodie fun.
Turns out, I have visited 38 of the 100 already! Who knew?
Here is where I have dined:
Big Biscuit, Blue Bird Bistro, Blue Koi, Blue Nile, Bo Lings, Cafe Trio, Californos, Carlos Copa Room, Cascone's, Chubbys, Classic Cup, d'Bronx, The Drop, Eden Alley, Fiorellas, Garozzo's, Gates, Happy Gillis, Hereford House, Jerusalem Cafe, Jess & Jim's, JP Wine Bar, Korma Sutra, Lidia's, Manny's, Minsky's, Nara, Nick & Jake's, One80, Plaza III, Re-Verse, Stroud's, Thai Place, Tomfooleries, Trezo Vino, Waldo Pizza, Webster House, You Say Tomato.
I would like to give props to my awesome co-workers who I have lunched (& happy-houred) with while we worked in mid-town and then moving the office downtown. They are always up for trying new places and eating adventurously. Most of my list is due to these fabulous eaters... er, colleagues.
My favorites of the list: Classic Cup, The Drop, HAPPY GILLIS, Jerusalem Cafe, One80, Re-Verse, Thai Place, You Say Tomato
What I would change on the list: I think Ruchi is better than Korma Sutra (http://ruchicuisine.com/). Big Biscuit and Chubbys being on the list cracks me up - greasy heaven. I also don't agree with Manny's being the best KC mexican food. I would choose Sol Azteca, Panzon's, El Pueblito, or Pancho's (24 hours a day authentic goodness).
Anyone beat 38?
So I totally printed off that list today and work, and it is my new goal for 2010!! (which kind of counter-acts my other goal of losing weight.... but what can you do.) Also, you should follow me on my blog. Make me feel less like a loser...
